What customers say?

“ Loved visiting here - food was excellent and I enjoyed the unique atmosphere! Delicious complimentary corn bread came along with the meal. Great selection of appetizers - we had the fried pickles, which were amazing! I had one of the specials that evening - a vegetable curry dish that was very filling. When we visited, there was some live music playing. In the back there's also a small bar and mini-shuffleboard. ”

“ I guess everyone has a different experience, but I enjoyed myself here. Some complained the service was slow, what are we in a rush for anyway? We came on a Saturday night and there was some live music - an added surprise for us! I ordered the French onion soap and the veg-friendly burger (it tasted like it came right of the grill ). My partner got the stuffed mushrooms and burger and is satisfied. We are happy to have found this place because it’s close to the family cottage, the prices are optimal! ”

“ This is a fantastic place to go for a meal. We understand why this place has pretty much five-star reviews across the board. Among the things we had were fish tacos, garden salad, pesto chicken sandwich, kid's Pizza, and a few other things I don't recall. The fish tacos were very good, breaded with light seasoning. Pesto chicken was fresh, tasty, and the pesto itself was great without being too strong. Salads were fresh ( veggies sourced locally when available). the kid's pizza was very good also, although not quite up to the level of the other entrees we had. The restaurant is very clean, there is plenty of parking. The service was excellent, the waitstaff was very attentive, and the pricing was ridiculously inexpensive. This is one block off the main drag in Chester, it is well worth it if you're in the area to drive a little bit and come here for the food. ”

“ We really enjoyed our dinner here when we visited Chester for an overnight stay in the caboose across the street. I chose the chicken pot pie and it was perfection. Staff very friendly and helpful with suggestions. Would go again when in the area. ”

“ Pleasantly surprised. Nice comfortable vibe. Hometown atmosphere w a small but varied menu. Some interesting items to try and some standards. We had the flat bread for app it was very good presto chicken was the days special. The Shepard's Pie was delicious plenty of meat and the flavors were rich and hearty. Also had the kale and goat cheese salad it was good and even better the next day after the suttle citrus dressing marinated the Kale. A decent and varied beer menu and a few interesting cocktails. The owners are the cook, bartender, waitress and bussers very nice and friendly. They had local entertainment which was really nice. We will definitely go back. If you want a relaxing hometown meal this is the place to go. ”

“ Live music was delightful tonight. The mussels special was a work of art - Erin out-did herself. Doug took care of us like we were his family over for a visit. Aaron greeted us with hugs and made the evening special. There is no place like Chester Common Table. What a gem in The Berkshires. ”
